The Role of Investment in Information Technology on the Performance of Industrial Companies Listed on Amman Financial Market

Abstract
This investigation aims at identifying the role of investment in information technology on the performance of industrial companies listed on the Amman Financial Market in the areas of administrative, financial and operational. A sample of 20 Jordanian industrial companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange was chosen. Moreover; the data for this investigation was collected by the distribution of a questionnaire. The study, however; showed that there is a significant effect of the investment in information technology on the ability to enhance decisions making, improve administrative, financial and operational processes and improve financial performance. On the other hand, the study showed that the investment in information technology in industrial companies Jordanian is not effective in creating and developing the competitive advantage and supporting the institutional innovation and the strategy of excellence for these companies
