The Impact of the Knowledge Economy on Islamic Banks Performance

Abstract
Islamic banking has been growing rapidly and consistently for several decades and it now occupies a significant
position – and sometimes a dominant position – in the financial markets of Muslim countries. Knowledge
management has become in the last decades one of the key issues in management at the level of most countries of
the world; and that as a result of discharge of globalization of information and the resulting huge development in
the field of communications, especially the Internet. Modern communication system has led to the widespread and
great understanding of the needs of customers; making business organizations focused on intellectual capital,
which is an effective tool in the competitive knowledge-based economy under the building.
