Abstract
At the outset, the psychological contract concept was viewed as a perception of an exchange agreement between the employer and employee, but today the concept has since been extended to almost every interpersonal relationship, resulting in many researchers defining the concept in their own way. Presently the psychological contract literature is saturated with lot of different definitions. Thus leading this paper to discuss the conceptual boundaries of what the psychological contract is, what it is not, and which term best constitute the psychological contract concept.
