Abstract
Job satisfaction is a complex concept that is influenced by many factors. The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of working conditions to job satisfaction. For that purpose the empirical research has been conducted in 2012 in one Croatian shipbuilding company. The research results show that there is no statistically significant difference in overall job satisfaction between workers who work under difficult working conditions (at the facility) and those who work in normal working conditions (in the administration); workers who work in normal working conditions are more satisfied with working conditions than workers who work under difficult working conditions; in the case of workers who work under difficult working conditions, the working conditions are important factor of their overall job satisfaction.
